Wanganui has one of the few private, co-education preparatory schools in the country, catering for children from five to 13 years of age. St George's is recognised throughout New Zealand for its unique 'Learning Styles' programme and its information technology curriculum.
In recent times, St George’s has become accredited, as a PYP World School offering the IBO ‘Primary Years Programme’ and St. George’s is only the second school in New Zealand to achieve this goal.
