The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, PYP,
is an international curriculum framework aligned to the NZ curriculum,
taken by all St George’s students in Years 1-6.

It focuses on the development of the whole child in any environment
where the child learns, whether that be in the classroom or the world
outside. It offers a framework that meets children’s needs in the academic,
social, physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural realms.

The PYP was introduced at St George’sSt George’s became the first
authorized PYP school south of Auckland, New Zealand in 2006.
It is now an IB World School. during 2004.

We are extremely proud of our library. It is arguably one of the best libraries to be found in any primary school in New Zealand.
Wonderful resources, more than 7000 books and periodicals and a full time librarian to assist each and every student.
